Introduction
After viewing the documentary Food Inc, our group was intrigued by the effects of pesticides in produce and all of the food that we consume. We began to research organic foods and we wanted to see if organic foods really were a better alternative. After conducting our interviews for our oral history project, we conducted further research to find out more about the comparison between organic foods and non organic foods. Throughout our project you will clearly see the differences between the two. Although some people say that organic foods don't taste as good as non organic foods, we conducted a taste testing and the participants actually liked the organic foods better!
Our main research question:
Why should organic foods be the number one choice that people make?
Secondary research questions:
1. What are the benefits of eating organic and locally grown products?
2. How does eating organic and locally grown foods affect your body as compared to products that are sold in the supermarket?
3. Is buying healthy foods financially beneficial?
4. Why are people chooding the foods that they buy?
5. Are consumers aware of the food industry?
