Afterward
Originally, we wanted to prove that organic foods were a better choice for people to make. After compiling our research we found that while organic food is more expensive, those who tried it or were exposed to the truth of factory farming, were likely to enjoy organic food or reconsider their diet. Initially, we provided many comparisons between organic foods and non organic foods, we talked about the effects of pesticides, books, a recipe, and we also included a taste-test. However, the poll was split right down the middle between organic food and non-organic, so it didn't really help us prove our argument. Once we presented our project to the class, we realized that we needed to take our project a bit further and make it more geared towards people who are interested in going organic. Using all of the information that we had, we decided to give a facts page, where we compared the two types of foods, talked about the negatives of pesticides, and we offered facts about organic foods. Then, if people were intrigued by the idea of organic foods, we gave them the option to click a link to take them to a further page. On this page, they can find steps to take to go organic, books to further their research, and a sample recipe to show how delicious organic foods are.
